Community Support - Week 11

Today is the last day of Volunteers’ Week so a day dedicated to thanking those in our community who are working tirelessly to support others. Without them, our operation would not exist. They’re always there, smiling, ready and waiting to run errands and nothing is ever too much trouble. Even when there are some particularly weird and wonderful requests like ‘can anyone help us build a shed?!’ ‘Who wants to deliver community magazines in the pouring rain?!’ You’re always there and for that, we and our community are eternally grateful.

This week, we’ve responded to

💙 201 requests for support
💙 542 requests for hot meals

These figures bring us to a total of 1662 requests for shopping, prescriptions or other errands and 2693 requests for the hot meal service since 23rd March 2020. You can see the figures on the Coronavirus Updates page.

This week we’ve been busy working on wellbeing packs and can now offer these to members of the community. See the Wellbeing page for to see what’s available and how to request your pack. These packs have been funded by generous donations from the community, again, thank you.

We’ve got a busy week ahead with some announcements of upcoming projects so please do keep your eyes peeled here and on our Facebook page for the very latest.
