Lizzie Cannop
PROJECT SUPPORT TRAINEE
We’re delighted to welcome Lizzie, who joined us in June 2025 for a 6-month placement as a Trainee Project Support Officer.
A lifelong Caithness local, Lizzie first became involved with us back in January as a volunteer at the Greenhouses. Despite initially thinking she wasn’t “green-fingered,” her mum would say otherwise—recalling how toddler Lizzie would enthusiastically fill empty yogurt pots with anything she could find in the garden (including a fair few creepy crawlies!) and proudly bring them indoors. Perhaps green thumbs run in the family—her Grandad was even awarded “Best Kept Garden” back in the late 1970s!
Outside of work, Lizzie is a busy mum of three. She and her children love family outings to shows and pantos, with The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe—a childhood favourite of Lizzie’s—being the latest adventure.
When she gets a moment to herself, you’ll likely find her out enjoying long countryside walks with her loyal Collie, Tilly.
