Each year the Trust delivers over 75 hot, homemade meals on Christmas Day to the local community. The meal is free / by donation and supports some of our most vulnerable in the community.

We have a wonderful team of volunteers who work hard throughout the run up to Christmas (and on the day itself) prepping, cooking and delivering the meals.

As well as our Christmas Day deliveries, we also host a special Seniors Lunch in December (often with the talented students from Thurso High School delivering a concert) and keep the Sharing Shed open 365 days a year to provide food support to those in Thurso that most need it.

Christmas Meal Delivery Service 2025

Our Christmas Meal Delivery Service is back for 2025! This service is available to individuals and families in and around Thurso who may be struggling with the cost of living crisis, or spending the day themselves. Included in each delivery is:

  • A delicious 3 course meal, plus some extra sweet treats.

  • Doorstep delivery between 12-1pm Christmas Day

  • A friendly volunteer who will ensure your meal is safely delivered to your door.

We are currently fundraising to help support the delivery of such a vital service during the festive season. In 2024 we delivered over 80 meals, and know just how much of an impact this can make to those who need it most. If you are able to help, please:

Bookings are open to people in and around Thurso who are spending Christmas alone and families who are struggling to put food on the table due to the cost-of-living crisis.

Our menu is:

Starter

- Fruit Cocktail

- Lentil Soup

Main

- Roast turkey with all the trimmings (Adult)

- Roast turkey with all the trimmings (Child under 10yrs)

- Vegetarian Option

Dessert

- Sticky toffee pudding

- Cheesecake

- Christmas Pudding
