Craft Materials Swap

We are repeating the craft materials swap that was hindered in January by extreme snowdrifts and many of us not able to contribute to the swap in time! We kept all the donations that we had already received and are reopening collection of donations!

We here at the Trust also decluttered our loft and are putting out large bundles of craft materials suitable for community organizations rather than the individual crafters, so - organizations are very welcome at this swap!

The dark winter evenings invite us to get creative at home, by the fire and with a cuppa nearby. Therefore this swap is devoted to craft materials. Let us swap materials, tools and supplies for knitting, sewing, jewellery making, decoupaging, scrapbooking and any other hobbies out there!

Swaps are a wonderful, exciting, easy and cheap way to declutter your cupboards and find something new and inspiring!

Have a look through your crafty supplies and put aside those that you don’t use. We all have things too good to be thrown away and we promise ourselves that they will come handy, one day. Donate them to the swap! Someone will make the good use of it, and you will free space for materials you really require!

Find your inspiration at our swap - seeing new colours, textures, patterns or tools will take your imagination on a marvelous journey.

Our swaps are very easy to take part in: you can donate anything you want, and you can collect as many items as you need, even if you didn’t donate anything at all. Participation is free of charge.

Please drop off your donations in advance, to Socially Growing Shop at 1 Rotterdam Street, Thurso, Wednesday to Saturday, between 10 am and 5 pm.
