Ann is one of our Thurso Grows Project Co-ordinators. She loves encouraging people to engage in community events so look out for her at your social group.

Ann is passionate about helping the community, the outdoors and family time, especially when it involves food. Yum, us too Ann!!

Sharon Dismore

Sharon is our green fingered goddess, and the other half of the Ann and Sharon Project Co-Ordinator Dream Team. Sharon is a keen gardener, loves a good whisky, walking, playing in the mud with her baby girl and being outdoors with her two dogs!

Her top tip for reducing your household waste is to buy less and slow downnnnnnn! Good tip Sharon!!

Douglas Henderson

Our plant whisper and compost recycler and resident Mr. Google of the allotment, meet Douglas, the latest team member of the Thurso Grows.

Enthusiastic about growing food to eat, he's also a chef, Douglas is looking to forward to getting hands-on to create a plot to plate ethos incorporating growing methods with a twist.

Jacqui Barclay

And the 4th member of our team is Jacqui Barclay. Jacqui is moving back to Thurso just because she was so excited she had to be part of this project!! She is looking forward to getting messy with her girls in the garden but she’ll is our admin and marketing wizard.

Jacqui’s top tips for reducing household waste is do a week meal plan and stick to it! And veg that is less fresh still tastes delicious in a lentil soup so don’t just throw it out.
