Thurso to me…

"…is home. It was the place I grew up, and where, as a teenager, I longed to escape from, as soon as I could! But eventually I came back, and I’ve grown to love the familiarity and the community spirit of the town, as well as everything else that Caithness has to offer. My favourite picture of Thurso is any picture that includes the castle. I grew up next to it, and much of my childhood was spent on the shore in its shadow; it’s one of the most iconic sights in the town, and it reminds me of home, family, friends and belonging.
