Thurso Grows is funded by the Scottish Government Climate Challenge Fund. We’re absolutely delighted to be running this project which will see our community garden at the bottom of Falconer Waters Court transformed to a vibrant growing space including indoor growing in our Polycrub. Food produced is available for sharing and we hope people will come and learn how to grow in their own gardens too. We’ll be running workshops on composting and food waste minimisation. Hosting lots of special events and even hope to have some growing boxes popping up around the town. It’s very exciting times as this is a project that we just love and will assist us move towards a lower carbon Thurso. In addition to above we’ll have events that explain more about climate change and the small changes we can all make to mitigate against this.

The Thurso Grows Community Garden is at the bottom of Falconer Waters Court, Thurso. To get there:
Take a right up past Thurso Cinema
First right after Ormlie Garage
First Right again and follow the road all the way down to the car park and garden at the bottom.
Of course we would prefer that you consider walking or cycling to reach us to reduce your carbon emissions. If walking or cycling the easiest way to reach us is to head to Mcall’s Shop and head round the back, follow the path to the rear of Thor House and keep going until you enter the Court. The garden is down at the bottom on your left.
